Call for Papers
PanNotation is inviting you to submit your work for possible publication in its first journal. We strive to publish strong papers that inform its readers of various topics based on the steelpan. The papers will go through a peer-review process, which will contribute to the high-quality yet trusted library of information. Areas of topics can include: music literacy, pan education, pan manufacturing, music and pan business, musical analysis, cultural studies, historical studies, the modernization of the steelpan, etc.
Submission process
We are currently accepting abstracts for our Call for Papers. Submissions must include the following in a single document:
- Full name of the author
- Title of the paper
- An abstract with a maximum of 300 words
- A biography of the author with a maximum of 50 words

Timeline
January 20, 2023 – Deadline to submit abstracts
January 27, 2023 – Authors will be notified of whether or not their abstracts have been accepted
March 24, 2023 – Deadline to submit the first draft of the full paper
April 14, 2023 – Feedback from the peer-review process will be provided to the authors
May 1, 2023 – Deadline to submit final versions of the paper
Authors are invited to present their papers at the 2nd annual Virtual Steelpan Conference.
Format of Papers
Papers must be submitted in Chicago Style using 12pt Times New Roman with 1-inch margins. Papers should be 3,000 to 4,500 words in length.
