Spaced Out (for Steel Band and String Orchestra)

US $45.00

“This piece was composed during the pandemic, and it is a double entendre for being both physically spaced out from other people during the lockdown of 2020 and being mentally spaced out because one is lost in thought and in awe of the current state of the world. The melody is broken up between two voices, which alone are fragmented, but when played together it creates this beautiful melody. This depicts how the integration of virtual technology into music education and music performances still made it possible to be successful as musician during the pandemic.”- Jason Sivert. Instrumentation: Steelpan Ensemble, Drum Set, Congas, 2-Violin parts, 2-Viola parts, Violoncello, Double Bass, Bongos, Timbales, Cowbell, Tambourine. MIDI Available.
